Oregon State University McAlexander Field House
YGH designed the recent renovation of McAlexander Field House at Oregon State University. The existing facilities were inadequate to meet growing demand for indoor recreation space on campus and changing sports and other healthy lifestyle activities. McAlexander was renovated to improve the amenities, usability and safety of the facility.
Offerings in the renovated space include climbing and challenge course activities, as well as improving the facility for field and court sports. A urethane rubber court surface is the new flooring for the multi-activity court (MAC) area, providing an ideal surface for a variety of sports, from basketball to floor and in-line hockey. New artificial turf has been placed for indoor soccer and lacrosse, and a second world-class climbing wall confirms OSU’s status in this recreation activity.
