Portland State University Master Plans
YGH has developed three major campus plans for Portland State University over the last 30 years. Two master plans were for ten-year timeframes which focused on creating a unique, unified urban character for the University as well as building a flexible campus which could adapt to changing academic needs. YGH’s process included definition of long-term growth needs, circulation and infrastructure requirements, and urban design/development guidelines. YGH has additionally completed nine building projects for the University, ranging from research laboratories to athletic facilities, including projects for the School of Education, School of Business, and the School of Engineering. Most recently, the firm completed the LEED Gold certified Academic & Student Recreation Center.
