Western Culinary Institute

YGH designed the new facilities housing the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. This le Cordon Bleu-registered school is located on three floors of the historic Galleria Building in downtown. The complex tenant improvements involved integrating structural renovations to the historic structure along with all utility connections to the teaching kitchens and more traditional classroom environments. The ground floor includes Café Bleu, and the anchor restaurant, Bleu. Completed under extreme schedule constraints, these complex teaching environments were opened in time for Fall classes.
