400 SW Sixth Avenue

YGH’s rehabilitation of 400 SW Sixth Avenue has improved the building’s ongoing marketability by overhauling the main lobby’s captivating two-story volume with increased ambient light in the lobby, reducing overly compartmentalized spaces, and replacing outdated finishes. The firm created a greater continuum of space with visual interest, drama and warmth. Central to the design is a textured wood wall backdrop that continues wrapping above to the ceiling. Complemented by a combination of back painted glass and incorporation of existing metal panels, the lobby is amplified by soft seating and continuously motion projected art. In addition, the exterior façade was upgraded to create a more visually prominent entry zone including a large display panel that improves the buildings approachability and appeal.
