Jerry Waters, AIA, LEED AP

Jerry Waters, AIA, LEED AP is an Associate Principal and senior project designer at YGH.  His 22 years of design and multi-group management experience on both the West and East Coast has created a project portfolio spanning K-12 and higher education clients, as well as mixed-use housing, stadiums, performing arts centers and hospitals. His designs have been featured in numerous national publications while garnering awards for excellence in design and sustainability.

Jerry is the recipient of a 2016 Van Evera Bailey Fellowship, awarded by the Architecture Foundation of Oregon.  Jerry’s research topic involves the role of architectural environments in the delivery of educational models.  His work will focus on the Reggio and Atelier models of Loris Malaguzzi; the Montessori schools of Herman Hertzberger; and “the principles of a good learning environment” as demonstrated in Finland.
